Exciting end to the month

The Olympic Torch Relay came RIGHT PAST OUR HOUSE! Wow, it was very exciting! I think I was more excited than the kids! I thank Kidderminster for having the Severn Valley Railway, otherwise lets face it, the Relay wouldn't have come near us! Such an exciting opportunity to see it.

Bubs had the opportunity to take part in the Wolverley's Got Talent finals at her school! She performed some card tricks. Although she didn't win, she was a refreshing difference to the other acts which were singers or dancers, and so very brave to even consider taking part!

Time flies!

Where to, I don't know!

Couldn't really NOT do anything Titanic related... so we built it!

 Birthday boy - 10!

birthday breakfast at a restaurant... o, I feel a new tradition coming on!
cousins!
cake!
the original
the colours Bubs saw
Quick trip to the optician again confirms that Bubs is colour blind... which would explain a lot of things really! Very unusual in a girl apparantly.

George and the Dragon have decided to be pals!
Bubs made this pencil case in e-textiles... they sew circuits into the fabric to create flashing eyes!

Beginning our new swimming regime... had to go 'up market' and join the local Seb Co swimming pool as the water is super warm in the little pool and ideal for Spike's legs, which need to 'loosen up'!

A wet satuday outing to Barnetts Hill

Finally the weather behaved itself and we were able to get to the Safari Park for Spike's birthday treat! It was dry, but very cold to start with, which meant that getting soaked on the water donuts left us feeling the chill... but it warmed up a bit in the afternoon, and it was happy children that returned home with me!
