Weekly round-up

A quiet week...

Our one special outing this week... since we've been listening to music by Elgar this term, and he was born not far from us... we went to visit the Elgar Birthplace Museum...

Ah... yes, there he is! He's not looking at us though... he's gazing out at the Malverns... definitely a wonderful view from the cottage.

We used the 'Audio Tour'... was a good way of finding out about the place, and listening to some music too.

New calendar

Fun after shopping for wrapping paper

New display area for drawings.

Bubs' latest handicraft effort, and her most favoured to date - counted cross stitch.

Spike and his obsession with all things chocolate... chose to spend his 'stay up' night making a chocolate cake!

A visit to 'Our' newly re-vamped McDonalds... looks much nicer inside now.

'Team Building' exercise... we spent a bit of time playing this game on the Wii, and learning how to work together as a team... it was interesting to see the kids learning to work together. (a hugely frustrating game though... drove ME up the wall!!!)

Making the most of a clear - but breezy - afternoon to trot up the Clent Hill... and down again...

The Autumn colours are still lingering... I'm enjoying it very much.

Fun at Barnett's Hill garden centre looking at the Christmas decorations... I'm very proud of us that we have resisted looking at decorations until now... Bubs loved this lovely masquerade mask.

History club brought us to Bewdley this week... the river was very high... but the flood barriers weren't up, so I guess it wasn't very high to the residents!

OK, pictures aren't good... the lighting wasn't right... but this is Bubs performing with her Drama Class on the stage for an audience on Saturday... they did a handful of Grimm's Tales. They all did very well.

Bubs' finished tissue box that she completed at her Tuesday Group.

Spike went a walk with Grama & Grampa...

Bubbles made mini sand castles, while I scoured for sea glass!

Despite high winds, we wound our way to Plymouth... too wet and windy to do much... but had a nice meal

Then I managed to catch my finger in a door... so silly and so painful!

Friday, and after gale force winds all night, a trip to the House of Marbles was about the only sane thing to do! Watching the glass making...

Sunday morning and the sun is back! And look what was washed up on the beach!

Off to stretch our legs and enjoy the beach before heading for home

Our Travel Inn... we were on the top floor, looking out over the beach. It was fun.
