this is what to do with the kids when they are bored..
Found a walk to a nature reserve near Bewdley, and it backs onto the Safari Park, so we had a wee nosey through the wire.
Blists Hill Victorian Town.
Bubs and Billy -the-rabbit... very undignified pose for the rabbit!
Bishops Wood Education centre where we went for our Church away-day
New Karate Belt for Bubs
Stourport amusements with cousin T
History Club... all about Medieval medicine, at the Commandary in Worcester. What a fab workshop it was!
Brief holiday took us to wonderful friends in Linlithgow. First day-trip (and the only wet day) to Almond Valley Heritage Centre.
Dining at the Beefeater
can't go to Scotland and not get a pic of a Highland coo!
Second outing to East Links Family Park... o my, it's changed a bit since our last visit (3 years ago?), with the addition of a huge Fort. Good fun for the kids. The rest of it was the same, and the family go-karts were still there and mummy was still required to pedal around the farm!
Third outing to Summerlee - Museum of Scottish Industrial Life. This was very interesting,a nd the kids had lot to do. Great ride on an old tram, and hugely interesting miners cottages dating from 1840-1960 (fascinating to see the interiors change over time)
Ok, it's a thistle, but I really like this one... and it's in Scotland, which makes it more special!
25 beautiful swans came swimming up to us!
Final outing, to Gartmorn Dam. Lovely peaceful walk and great company!
Farewell dinner... yum! Thank you for a wonderful time!
Visiting precious friends on the way home... handsome J with Bubs. Bubs and I had the most wonderful cuddles.
Special holiday treat of a stay in a Premier Inn, Jct 42 on the M6 on the way home. And look at those desserts! Needless to say, we could NOT finish them!
finished baby quilt
Bubs and her new cousin K
If you don't have a conservatory - no worries! just take your lounge furniture and put it outside! Ok, that's not exactly what we're doing... sadly this sofa has seen it's last day indoors, since the springs have completely burst on one side. Still, it had a good life (9 yrs). And, no, it won't stay in the garden forever! Just need to get organised now and get a council uplift as something tells me it won't fit in the car...
The best fish and chips in Bewdley, al fresco, for dad's birthday... en famille... er, well, Spike was behind the camera (didn't he do good!) and Bubs was away at camp...
