On the Camera

We are travelling less, with the hike in fuel prices... and living more! Still here, still together. Here's a few snippets...

Bubs likes stones! She likes to make them into what she calls her 'Gammies'... little Stone People!

Still trying different pizza bases for our home-made pizza Thursdays... this was the favourite to date - tortilla base pizzas.

Hope this doesn't offend anyone... but Bubs adores moles... and sadly often the only way to see them is when they are no longer alive. She was just so made up to hold a mole, even though it was dead.

Yum! Candy trees... in our local garden centre... couldn't buy them, so snapped a pic instead!

 New clocks...
... and Bubs BEING a clock!

Using The Way of Light Wreath to gently nudge us through Lent. Visuals are a great blessing to me, I need reminding daily to keep looking Heavenward.

 Bubs playing with the camera.

Last history club session with graffiti artist Rob Draper. What a fab day! Not only did the kids graffiti their own canvas to bring home, but they worked on their campaign canvas too. Bubs' original design was taken and worked on for this, which brought a smile to her face. Even Spike enjoyed himself... and especially when the fire alarm went off and we had to await the fire engine! The sun shone, and we spent the day outside.
 The kids' finished personal canvases.

Lambs! Can you see them?! Nothing talks of spring quite so much as the bleating of the lambs...

On the Camera

... my daffs... they *just* about made it out for St Davids Day! I do love daffodils... so cheery.

... some getting ready for Red Nose Day fun

 ... bowling with daddy...

 ... yummy chips at Bewdley...

... catching a quiet moment to read a new book...

... turning out the compost to feed the rhubarb and berries... the first time the compost heap has been emptied in 2 years!!
... forgot to take a 'before' photo... but trimmed back the bushes and the tree in the middle of the garden, and it looks much brighter in the garden now.
... most of the outside (bar roof tiles) and inside (bar flooring) of Bub's doll's house has been completed while daddy has been visiting. She has placed some temporary furniture inside while she saves up for the *proper* pieces of furniture. Happy girlie.

On the Camera

 New club... Karate for self-defence..

History club... and further Graffiti work - working on a canvas with spray paint. To be completed next time!

Photo shoot - what do you think?! Have to say the pic of Bubs and Spike together is quite hilarious... they were NOT wanting to co-operate and be so close together!!

And that's the end of March!

On the Camera

Not much happening here at the moment!

We like picking through this Usborne Art book... this is our attempt at an Alberto Giacometti type creation. The finished product is quite nice and sitting on the mantel piece. We have been following the Dancing On Ice lately, and felt that these 2 work well together as an ice-skating couple!

Another finished project! Crazy-quilt cushion cover. It's made with silk off-cuts from Beckford Silk (because that's all we could afford!!). Have had the fabric for nearly 2 years, so it's another good job done!

Finished Octagon crochet throw. I should have made it larger... but I felt it needed to be finished!

A mini crazy-quilt quilt with the tiny amount of remaining silk... just because I wanted to use it up!

Managed to persuade Bubs to also make a crazy-quilt cushion cover out of the silk off-cuts... it's lovely! She is giving it to her daddy for his birthday.
