Weekly round-up
These are Coats of Arms the kids designed this week for Geography Through Art... Spike is a little obsessed with Star Wars at the moment (it will pass!) so he decided his had to have things from Star Wars on it, but wouldn't draw them himself, so I ended up having to do it! Bubbles used a lot more of the symbols and colours that had meanings in planning hers.
Highlight of the week... and Eddie Stobart lorry parked across the road from us! Yes, we are Eddie fans! Sadly, the kids weren't dressed, and by the time they HAD grabbed some day clothes, it had moved on... so we never got the name! O well!
An outing, at the kids request, to the Domestic Fowl Trust at Honeybourne. They wanted to check out the chickens... but there were other animals too... it was a fun time....
The chicks that Bubbles wanted to bring home... sigh, can't... deeds of the house say only domestic animals on the land...
Yes, I know... there are no chickens in this picture! But, hey, it's hard to walk past a pile of wool and a spinning wheel without acknowledging it!
Some Silkies (I think!) that decided to follow us around the place!

Various geese varieties too... and they kept taking off and circling around and coming back down... fascinating.

Those Japenese Bantums above were my favourites.
Spike 'watering' the chucks with food... not one for doling out a little here and there - just pick a spot and pour the whole bag in!..
... then concentrate on the more important place to be... the park!
Ah, that's more like it! Bubbles with her little group of chickens... it WAS a pleasant time for her, except at one point one of the cockrels got rather boisterous and attacked her - perhaps he didn't like the colour of her wellies?!
Noise is fine... when it's made BY Spike himself... but if someone else makes the noise... !
