That was last Sunday! It was a beautiful sunny morning before church, and we decided that since we hadn't used any of our bbqs all summer, we really should use one before the year was up! It was really cloudy and a little cooler when we came out of church, but we had our bbq anyway, and then played some silly games and it was a fun time!

That's all of us... has to be a photo line-up from time to time!
This was from our Geography Through Art study this week... we made treasure maps (they were in pencil, which was a bit of a mistake as it didn't show up well once we'd 'washed' them in tea! hence on the picture of the maps you can't really see anything!)... we got some treasures, wrapped them up, then the kids sketched the garden and decided where they wanted to hide the treasure for each other. Once the maps were handed over, with an X marking the spot, they tried to find the treasure by reading the map... it was fun, and gave them a good idea about how important it is to make a good map!

After Bubbles and I updated our big scrapbook full of photos of our year, I was left with this picture of Dad on his birthday... so I tried my hand at a spot of 'proper' scrapbooking... I'm quite pleased with the finished product!
Certificate and medals presented at the Library to all the kids who completed the summer reading scheme... a requirement to read 6 books over the summer... the kids enjoyed going up and receiving their awards and being clapped!
Some pomanders we made... they've been banished to the laundry room though, as Bubbles declared that she didn't like the smell after all! O well!
At History Club this week we learnt about medicine in times past, and particularly the use of herbs... let's just say, we are VERY grateful to be living in a time of advancement in the medical profession! The kids made these herb sachets so scent their cupboards.
Our 'booth' for Sukkoth... we put the bed up in the lounge and slept there, or on the floor in Spike's case! It was fun, but we didn't get much sleep! It was great to follow that with a service of Harvest Thanksgiving at church.
