Weekend Activities

It's been lovely weather this weekend. On Saturday, we felt inspired to rake the leaves off the grass... Bubbles wanted to do this job, so she started it... and I finished it... but I'm not entirely sure why the grass still looks like we haven't raked any leaves at all! We had 4 huge piles of leaves... how odd! At least there's not many more leaves to come down. Spike decided it was a good day to wash the car, so he started it... and I finished it (seems to be a pattern emerging here... perhaps we need to work on perseverance!)... I think we will need to visit the car wash at some point, but it's a vast improvement on how it was looking anyway!

Bubbles created an 'ice rink' for her Sylvanians to play on (my mirror) and played a new card game she's just learnt - 'Patience'. She also worked on her 'book'. It's great to see her wanting to write, out with school activities.

C
an't believe that Bubbles has had her ears pierced for one whole year this weekend! She celebrated by donning some 'dangly' earrings, which she's been waiting to do all year! Time flies when one is having fun... and even if one isn't, I guess!

Spike hasn't been entirely 'himself' this weekend... he's still got quite a cough and looks very pale... just the time of year I suppose. I wasn't going to let him go to church on Sunday, but he decided that he would like to, so I was glad that we could all get out together and it's always great to study the Scriptures and fellowship with other believers. It was good to be reminded, in our study of Romans 13:8-14, to "Owe no one anything except to love one another..." (v8) and to do this today, as tomorrow is not guaranteed to us "And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed." (v11)
